eBAYING – Yesterday's posting alluded to the fact that I've been experiencing what us old sixties types used to call some Heavy Shit recently: as is often the case, much of this is financial in nature. (It doesn't take much to be pushed from a position of modest financial comfort to heavily stressed straits these days – and when you're a crappy money manager like me, it's probably even easier for this to happen.) In one of several attempts to dig ourselves out of the hole we've found ourselves, I've begun posting some eBay auctions – and will continue to do so over the next few weeks, as I dig through the long boxes looking for books that I know I'll never read again – but you might want to. Most of the material in this first batch of items is superhero focused (here's a sample - and you can get to the other items from it); as I get into the indy boxes, I'll be posting auctions for those types of books, too, so keep an eye out. We're also putting up a bunch of commemorative stamp sets, if that's the sort of thing that gives you a big collector-y buzz.
And since I'm mentioning eBay auctions here, I should also note some of the other fine auction offerings being proffered by fellow bloggers Milo George and Mike Sterling. Check 'em out, too!
I should probably also mention that – if you've got no burning desire to do the auction thing and you want to be altruistic in a faashion guaranteed to make Ayn Rand spin in her grave – that this blog is a member of the Amazon Honor System wherein you can foolishly donate money to yours truly.
Okay, enough of this. Next posting: a review of the manga version of Nausicaa, I promise. . .
