LOBES - So I'm driving home from work yesterday, and I'm listening to Fresh Air and Ted Kennedy is on to both plug his newest book and ready himself for running for re-election. Later at night, I'm watching The Daily Show, and there's Kennedy again, repeating the exact same talking points that he made on NPR four hours earlier (mentions Mel Laird both times – and here I was thinking I'd never have to hear about that guy again!) I start actively wishing for John to actively push Teddy off point, but it doesn't, unfortunately, happen. So instead I start focusing on the Senator's ear lobes, which kinda remind of the early Betty Boop when she was rendered as a half-dog/half human hybrid. Not one of Jon's more memorable interviews . . .
NOTE: As Ben V. notes, Kennedy bobbled a classic Will Rogers quip, too. Shouldn't there be an FCC fine for that?
