H: So the first half of this week's new two-part C.S.I.: Miami ends with two cliff-hangers: one features Horatio Cane getting extradited down to South America for the righteous killing of the evil drug lord responsible for his wife's assassination; the second centers on Calleigh Duquesne's kidnapping at the hands of a pair of low-life gamblers. Because CBS has conveniently scheduled the follow-up episode for the next night, we figure the second part is definitely gonna be hot stuff. Instead, we get to see H escape his predicament in a before-the-credits shootout that's so highly improbable it undercuts even the minimal suspense level of Calleigh's subplot. Looks like somebody came back from the writer's strike too soon . . .
